Project Description:

Lowell Square is a mixed-income housing cooperative featuring 183 one, two, and three- bedroom apartments, two level parking garage, storefront retail space, a visitor’s center, and large above-grade courtyard area. The building was constructed within a densely populated urban site that required a 24-hour right-of-way easement through the construction site for the adjacent high-rise abutter. The structure features a landmark 4-story dramatic archway that leads to a 2-story grand staircase emptying into a lush above-grade courtyard area constructed on top of the parking garage. The building’s exterior is comprised of arriscraft, precast concrete and brick, and the irregular shaped building has balconies on the fourth, seventh and ninth floors.
